Q: Does UBER work in Costa Rica?
A: Technically yes. However it is not welcomed in San Jose, particularly at the airport. In the area of La Fortuna and Arenal, it is perfectly ok.
Q: What currency should I have?
A: The Costa Rica Colon is preferred but the U.S. dollar is widely accepted, as well as Credit Cards. We recommend traveling with small bills.
Q: Do we take gifts?
A: Your presence is our present!! Haha... See what we did there!! However, if it is your wish to bless us with a gift, we would greatly appreciate a contribution to our honeymoon.
Q: Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?
A: Both the ceremony and reception will be at the Los Lagos Resort grounds. Transportation will be provided to the ceremony and then the venue... so don't be late.
Q: What if we choose not to stay at Los Lagos Resort?
A: No worries. On 11NOV24, the day of the wedding, entrance to the resort will be free of charge to those attending the festivities. Any other day you may enter the resort with a discounted day pass.
Q: When will the bride and groom be there?
A: We will arrive at the resort Thursday morning, 07NOV24 and departing, Wednesday, 13NOV24.
Q: How far is the town of La Fortuna from the resort?
A: La Fortuna is a short 10 minute drive.
Q: What is there to do in La Fortuna?
A: La Fortuna has lots to do. A large town square neighbors a catholic church and a public playground for the kids. Great place to find all kinds of excursions and many quaint souvenir shops, restaurants and cafe's. La Fortuna has a fun nightlife with bars, dancing and live music. Additionally everyday needs like: pharmacies, convenience stores, and clinics can all be found there.
...and everyones most asked question. WHATS THE DRESS CODE?
Ok this is a hard one. Costa Rica is hot and humid, and even though we will be there during the best time of the year, it can still get a bit uncomfortable,
The industry says dress SMART CASUAL. What does that mean?? Well we don't know either, but its safe to say that women, go ahead and leave those stilettos at home and men don't bother packing that 3 piece suit. Instead everyone go for lightweight, breezy and breathable.
Guys think breathable polos and nicer button tops like guayaberas or looser dress shirts. Linen pants and khakis are perfect. You feel like the boys need to breath, then invest in dressy shorts and smart sandals
Ladies, here we go... yes we understand that the Tiktoks and selfies take #1 priority while on a tropical vacation. But remember comfort and happy smiles make for the best selfies. That being said, cute sun dresses of course are a great choice. Flowy and breathable. Chic separates in breathable fabrics. Need that extra cuteness and height, go for wedges instead of heels. Think beautiful without having to be too formal.
